Conservas Vegetales de Extremadura was founded in 1976 with entirely private capital, and its main activity processing tomatoes.

 With an input capacity of 6,500 tons / day of fresh tomatoes, and a processing capacity of 340,000 tons per year, CONESA is the leader in its sector in Spain. This represents approximately 100,000 tons of tomato concentrate from 6 to 36 Brix, more than 24,000 tons of diced tomatoes and more than 7,000 tons of tomato powder.

    Conesa has developed in recent years a significant effort on R + D + i, which has led him to have a wider range of products such as cooking sauces, aseptic onion, derived from olives or a new line of products designed for baking.

     Improve and introduce the latest technology in the area of cultivation, processing and transformation of tomato and our new products is our goal, guided by the concept of QUALITY and SERVICE. The result is the guarantee of high quality products to meet the requirements and needs of our customers.

    Food quality is increasingly important, and consumers are showing interest in the origin (traceability), hygiene, and the manufacturing process of the products they buy.

    The Agricultural Department of Conesa is aware of this need, and maintains direct contact with the fields and its farmers to achieve these objectives.The main function is to have a supply of fresh tomatoes of sufficient quantity and quality for the capacity of the factory and for the products to be manufactured.

    The various activities to be performed are:

    •General scheduling of the campaign in terms of delivery periods, dates of transplanting, sowing, and selection of varieties.

    •Agricultural monitoring of our productions, as well as technical assistance to farmers.

    •Planning of transport logistics for the supply of the factory.
